   CMJ is a well-established CPA firm that provides third-party administration for retirement plans for our clients. We are looking to immediately hire an experienced retirement plan administrator to manage and grow this area of our practice. Job duties: Responsibility to ensure the timeliness of deliverables to the clients, perform compliance and nondiscrimination testing, explain pension laws to clients, communicate directly with retirement plan participants regarding distributions and questions, collect and reconcile all plan information regarding investment statements for complex and simple plans, enter plan specifications, analyze plans and determine eligibility and allocation requirements, perform analysis of senses verification reports, research materials or plan documents as required, supervise annual Form 5500 filings and assist with the development of firm procedures and marketing activities relating to client services. Keep up with 401(k) laws, guidelines for individual retirement accounts, and changing IRS rules. The ability to research and apply tax rules to retirement plans and explain those regulations to coworkers and clients is a key job requirement. Research cost-effective retirement plan options that are best suited to the needs of the client. Compare costs, benefits, features, performance, and overall customer service reviews of benefit vendors and investment managers to locate the best retirement plan options for clients. Qualifications: 3+ years as a retirement plan administrator. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Proficiency with Relius software a plus. Superior organizational skills. Excellent communication, research, analytical, and writing skills. Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and as part of a team. BS in Business, Accounting or related discipline desirable.
