   PROGRAM: Hammond House JOB TITLE: Program Director QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field and at least two years of related experience • Experience supervising staff in a related field • Experience providing direct treatment services, assessment, advocacy and crisis management • Clearance with all relevant background checks as per TSA policies and governing regulations • A vehicle, valid NY State Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the TSA automotive program are required • Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn new data platforms PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience working in a residential setting • Familiarity with New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations and guidelines • Experience working with the dual diagnosis population PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Be understanding of the needs of sensitive populations and demonstrate empathy • Well-developed professional boundaries and high ethical standards • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills • Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills • Ability to function as a team member in a leadership role • Ability to role model for staff and promote a therapeutic focus SCOPE: Responsible for the management and operations of an 11 bed OMH licensed dual diagnosis community residence. The Program Director reports to the Support Services Director. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Program Director will have a broad range of duties including, but not limited to, the following: • Provide supervision for all program staff • Make staffing decisions in conjunction with the Support Services Director • Implement and oversee program budgets; monitor petty cash and program spending • Oversee program operations • Maintain an active referral process with the goal of sustaining full occupancy • Interface with collateral agencies and health service providers to ensure continuity of care; act as a client advocate • Coordinate all intakes and discharges in cooperation with the Program Supervisor • Evaluate all records at regular intervals and keeps up to date client files, progress notes, and statistical records; make necessary revisions to maintain program effectiveness • Share on-call coverage of the house • Review all staff requests for time off and sign off on time sheets • Participate in the development of staff schedules • Comply with all relevant NYS OMH regulations governing Congregate Care II programs • Ensure that program staff meet all training and education requirements, both internal and external • Represent the agency at events related to program activities • Attend agency meetings and disseminate information to program staff • Facilitate weekly program meetings • Develop and submit program reports and statistics • Comply with state and agency policy, procedures and Medicaid billing requirements • Perform certain aspects of maintenance of the house which may include housekeeping and heavy lifting; monitor and report all house maintenance concerns • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Support Services Director
