   40 Hours/Week, 52 Weeks/Year Administration/Foundation QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelorís Degree in Communications, Marketing, and/or related field. Two (2) yearsí experience in Public Relations, Marketing & Promotions, and/or Fund- raising required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Raisersí Edge, Internet and Social Media. Valid NYS driverís license acceptable to Agency insurance standards required. JOB SUMMARY: Perform functions to increase awareness of Saratoga Bridges as a non-profit that provides services to people with developmental disabilities and their families. Plan, create, facilitate, execute and implement events designed and focused on benefiting Saratoga Bridges. Develop appropriate event materials such as sponsorship request, promotional materials, as well as creating content for social media and website. Reports to the Development and Foundation Director. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Plans, directs and evaluates all major Saratoga Bridges special events in the community, including but not limited to, the annual Saratoga Bridges Gala, Saratoga Bridges Day at the Races, The Great Pumpkin Challenge, J. Michael Fitzgibbons Golf Classic, Spratt Family Golf Tournament, Palm Sunday Polka Fest and all other fund- raising events. 2. Coordinates with other departments and service sites on special events for fund- raising and/or public relations purposes. 3. Cultivates and solicitates business support and corporate sponsors for Saratoga Bridges special events. 4. Cultivates and nurtures relationships with corporate sponsors and all other constituents to provide educational opportunities for the general public to learn about Saratoga Bridges and its mission. 5. Recruits and coordinates the activities and responsibilities of volunteers and event staff to ensure guidelines and expectations, including but not limited to, volunteer schedule for the day of event, are distributed to volunteers and staff prior to the event. 6. Updates and manages constituent Raiserís Edge database and reconciles Raiserís Edge entries with fundraising deposits. 7. Collaborates with Communication Specialist to prepare media and promotional materials for special events including, but limited to, all pre/post event press releases, radio and television opportunities, promotional appearances and calendar listings. 8. Assist in developing Saratoga Bridges Planned Giving program as well as creating educational materials. 9. Assists with developing material for all annual appeals. 10. Coordinates the assembly and mailing of bulk mailings, including but not limited to Special Events, Membership Drive and other Agency related mailings. 11. Coordinates Foundation Board meetings, notifies Board Members, notifies Executive Director of the absence of a quorum, set up meeting space, get refreshments and takes minutes of Foundation Board meetings, types and distributes minutes as appropriate. 12. Creates an annual long-term marketing plan for development department. 13. Works evenings and weekends, as needed, in support of Saratoga Bridges events. 14. Assists in creating an event budget with Development and Foundation Director, and reviews monthly financial reports to ensure department goals and to validate current forecast is on track with budget. 15. Performs all job duties in a safe manner by observing all Agency safety rules, procedures and practices. 16. Performs other duties as specified by the Development and Foundation Director and/or Executive Director.
