   Transitional Services Association, Inc., a non-profit human service agency, located in beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY, is currently hiring a Residential Program Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field with 1 year of experience; other combinations of education and experience will be considered • Experience providing direct treatment services, assessment, advocacy and crisis management • Clearance with all relevant background checks as per TSA policies and governing regulations • A vehicle, valid NY State Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the TSA automotive program are required • Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn new data platforms PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Familiarity with Trauma Informed Care • Experience working in a residential setting • Experience supervising staff in a related field • Familiarity with New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations and guidelines • Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Be understanding of the needs of sensitive populations and demonstrate empathy • Well-developed professional boundaries and high ethical standards • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills • Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills • Ability to function as a team member in a leadership role • Ability to role model for staff and promote a therapeutic focus SCOPE: Assist in the management and operations of an 11 bed OMH licensed community residence with a focus on mental health. The Program Supervisor reports to the Program Director. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Program Supervisor will have a broad range of duties including, but not limited to, the following: • Assist in the supervision of all program staff; participate in staffing decisions and the interview process • Track petty cash and program spending • Oversee medication needs of residents, medication counts, refills, and prescriptions • Assist in maintaining an active referral process with the goal of sustaining full occupancy • Participate in the planning and management of individually designed service plans for all residents • Interface with collateral agencies and health service providers to ensure continuity of care; act as a client advocate • Coordinate all intakes and discharges in cooperation with the Program Director • Evaluate all records at regular intervals and keep up to date client files, progress notes, and statistical records • Share on-call coverage of the house • Mange all staff requests for time off and develop and manage staff schedules in conjunction with the Program Director • Comply with all relevant NYS OMH regulations governing Congregate Care II programs • Ensure that program staff meet all training and education requirements, both internal and external • Manage the program in the absence of the Program Director coordinating with the Support Services Director • Assist in the development of program reports and statistics • Act as the computer coordinator with includes managing the database • Manage two bed diversion program which includes coordination of referrals, intakes, admissions, discharges, and case management • Comply with state and agency policy, procedures and Medicaid billing requirements • Perform certain aspects of maintenance of the house which may include housekeeping and heavy lifting; monitor and report all house maintenance concerns • Attend agency meetings, trainings, and events at the request of the Program Director • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director TSA offers a generous benefit package including: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance(s), Vacation, Sick and Personal Times, 403(b), and much more!
