Complete Description of the Job.
   We are seeking a number of candidates for a new group of openings. These will start as work from home due to current healthcare conditions. You will eventually be required to work in an office setting in Queensbury, NY once conditions allow. You will be analyzing claim denials and work with patients (payors) to resolve denials. Some of this is tracking what has transpired in the past, and following set protocols for next steps based on set processes. You'll help by making recommendations to improve processes/edits that will assist with better processing of claims. You will be reviewing and analyzing denials in the queue so that the appropriate appeals are processed for reimbursements. The denied claims will be researched, and appropriate steps will be followed (training on this provided). You may need to obtain additional documents/proof from payors, review that information against the files on record, and ensure all steps/documents are collected and complete to initiate the appeals or payment process. You'll be speaking with internal/external clients by phone and also communicate via email where needed. Responsibilities: Post payments from health insurance companies and patients to database Perform large amount of data entry Analyze documents and records for information Call insurance carriers, physician offices, patients for additional information Update database with obtained information Inform supervisor/escalate appropriate issues Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and analyze details Attention to detail Professional phone demeanor Customer service mindset which includes patience, and listening skills Ability to handle multiple tasks with various interruptions Prior knowledge of accounting process Associates Degree preferred (with business/accounting classes), High School diploma/GED required plus relevant work experience. Qualifications: Computer application experience (we will send you testing for this) to use general applications such as MS Word, MS Excel High Speed Internet at home with ethernet connection (to connect our client's computer to your internet source) Prior office experience handling payment information (i.e Accounts receivable, accounting clerk, bookkeeping, claims, etc.) Prior health insurance call center experience preferred Prior claims experience preferred Able to type 40-50 words per minute with high accuracy Dependable work history Physical Space Requirements (short term): Reliable phone service from home Quiet office space to provide dedicated work for 8 hours a day (i.e. no loud animals, alarms going off, etc.) Are you the right fit?
