   Selling customers windows, doors, decks
 
Complete Description of the Job.
   To engage in face to face, phone and electronic sales by utilizing exceptional customer service and sales skills in order to meet or exceed sales and margin goals. Assist customers with home improvement projects, with the focus being in the area of roofing, siding, windows, doors and decks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Customer Service •Acknowledge, greet and assist customers in a timely and professional manner •Handle telephone and electronic inquiries efficiently and effectively •Identify the needs and provide the appropriate level of assistance to the customer •Effectively research and resolve customer complaints and conflicts Sales Expectations •Understand the marketplace •Know product features •Work to meet prospect customers needs •Effective suggestive and upgrade selling and add on sales •Effective closing technique •Quote follow up- quote to order conversion •Share expertise with others Project Sales •Assist customers with any and all home improvement projects, with the focus being in the area of roofing, siding, windows, doors and decks •Define the scope of the project •Assist with estimating material needed for projects •Set up special orders •Order product and schedule deliveries to satisfy customer needs and to maintain the profitability of the sale Sales and Margin •Meet and or exceed individual sales goals •Meet and or exceed individual margin goals Manage Order Profitability •Issue accurate and complete orders •Manage open order report Inventory and Merchandising •Maintain a neat and clean showroom appearance •Ensure product literature is current and in stock •Practice good merchandising including setup and traffic flow •Maintain inventory levels Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. •Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 year related work experience •Language Ability: Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with individuals inside and outside of the company •Math Ability: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks •Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer needs and to recommend the proper course of action. •Computer Skills: Proficient keyboard and computer skills including Microsoft office and other Company and discipline specific software applications •Certificates and License: None are required
