   ABOUT THE POSITION In this position with our Deposit Services department, you would be responsible for training/cross-training department employees, performing reviews/audits of daily work to ensure accuracy and procedural quality. Performs deposit services, item processing, and electronic banking functions as needed and/or in weekly rotation. Works closely with department management to report on audits and perform support tasks as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Review and audit random samplings of daily work to ensure accuracy and procedural compliance. Prepare reports for management detailing audit result and make training recommendations to bridge performance gaps identified. * Train/cross-train new and existing employees with goal of creating interchangeable and highly skilled workforce; keep skills/knowledge up-to-date in all areas including deposit services, item processing, and electronic banking. * Perform daily deposit operations tasks as assigned; participate in weekly rotation for Item Processing end of day file transmissions. * Schedule tasks and assure adequate coverage to ensure all tasks are completed timely; support department management with quarterly department audits. * Process transactions/documentation accurately and timely; input data with high level of accuracy; research exceptions and report discrepancies; review data for missing information and proper authorizations. * Provide consistent, outstanding customer service for both internal and external customers. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications/Experience: * Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required * 4 to 6 years of experience in banking and/or customer service required Skills/Knowledge: * Strong communications skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, co-workers, management and other third parties * Quality customer service skills * Solid problem solving, organizational and analytical skills; ability to make informed decisions both independently and as part of a team * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of banking related software * Thorough knowledge of banking rules and regulations pertaining to deposit accounts and expanded knowledge of NACHA rules preferred We offer a pleasant work environment, career development opportunities, competitive compensation, and an exceptional benefits package.
